M90 crash closes road near Queensferry Crossing as police 'stop all traffic'

Emergency services have been dealing with an accident involving a car and a motorbike on the M90 near the Queensferry Crossing.

Police blocked the southbound carriageway close to Halbeath, with lengthy delays in the area.

Photos taken at the scene show long queues of stationary traffic as an ambulance moves up ahead towards the scene of the crash.

The outside lane was initially closed, however Traffic Scotland reported at 6pm that police had "stopped all traffic" with motorists warned to expect longer journey times.

Police Scotland say there are not believed to be any life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson said: "We received a report of a collision between a car and motorcycle on the M90 near junction 2A around 5.40pm on Sunday, 29 August.

"The road was closed to allow ambulance staff access to treat the motorcycle driver however there are believed to be no life threatening injuries at this time."
