M90 closures will be in-place near Queensferry Crossing for resurfacing works later this month

Parts of the M90 will close to traffic near the Queensferry Crossing to allow resurfacing works to be carried out later this month.

The route will be off limits to traffic near junction 2 between 8pm and 6am on 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 November. Both lanes of the northbound route will be shut at junction 1c near Rosyth with signposted diversions along the A985 Admiralty Road and the B980 Kings Road to Pitreavie. Also closed will be the northbound slip at junction 1c to the A823.

For southbound traffic the main carriageway will remain open, however there will be no access to the off-slip at junction 2. Similar to those travelling northbound, diversions will be via the A985 Admiralty Road and the B980 Kings Road to Pitreavie.

The measures are being introduced while operating company Amey resurface the road.

Those at The Forth Bridges say: "These works have been planned overnight to minimise disruption, however motorists planning to use this route are advised to allow a few extra minutes for their journey."
