M90 accident: Queensferry Crossing traffic delays after overturned car leads to road closure

Motorists can expect delays on the M90 this morning due to a road traffic incident at Southbound, Junction 1 Scotstoun.

According to reports, the accident is involving an overturned car as you come over the bridge from Fife heading towards Edinburgh, with all traffic diverted away from the A90.

Traffic Scotland said: " #M90 Southbound at Junction 1 Scotstoun is closed due to road traffic incident."

Police Scotland confirmed to Edinburgh Live that an ambulance was called, but that they do not think anyone suffered life threatening injuries.

Police Scotland said :"We received a report of a car on its side on the M90 at junction 1 southbound around 7.45am on Saturday, 21 November, 2020. The junction has been closed to facilitate recovery of the vehicle."

Traffic Scotland have since confirmed that the road has reopened although delays are expected to continue in the area.
