All lanes eastbound on the M9 between Junction 7 and Junction 6 have been closed to allow for essential overnight roadworks.
The section of the motorway was closed just before 10:30pm this evening (Monday, October 18) and will reopen at 6am tomorrow morning.
Junction 7 is the Kinnaird House Interchange and Junction 6 is the Earlsgate turn-off.
Motorists are advised to use the signed diversion route which is in operation and are also being warned to allow extra time for any journey they are making between now and 6am tomorrow morning.

The diversion, as published on the official Traffic Scotland website (trafficscotland.org), is: Cont M9 J7 SB Offslip – M876 EB – M876 J3 EB Offslip – A905 SB – Sth Bellsdyke R’about – A88 Bellsdyke Rd – B902 SB – A9 Bankside Ind Est SB – A9 SB – M9 J5 Cadgers Brae – M9 J5 SB Onslip and follow local signage.
