Motorists are facing lengthy delays on the M8 after a trailer carrying rolls of turf tipped over on the carriageway.
Emergency services remain at the scene at junction 27 Arkleston Interchange after being called at around 1.15pm on Wednesday.
Two lanes have been closed as is the off slip due to the grassy debris with delays of approximately 40 to 60 minutes.
Traffic Scotland tweeted: “RTC on the M8 eastbound at J27.
"Lanes 1 & 2 of 3 are closed as is the off slip due to an overturned trailer and debris on the carriageway.
“Traffic queuing back to J30. Delays approx 40 mins.”
It is unknown whether anyone was injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.10pm on Wednesday, 21 July, we received a report of an overturned trailer on the M8 eastbound near junction 27.
“The road is currently obstructed and uplift of the trailer is being arranged.”
