The M8 motorway overbridge at Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow city centre has been shut down by police amid an ongoing incident.
Traffic Scotland confirmed emergency services were on the scene shortly before 6.30am this morning.
At 6.24am, they Tweeted: " #A804 Overbridge at the #M8 and Sauchiehall Street is closed due to a police incident."
Sauchiehall Street is closed in both directions.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
UPDATE: Police have advised a person has sadly passed away following the incident.
