The M8 motorway will be closed tonight at Sighthill for the demolition of a bridge.
The stretch of road will be closed both eastbound and westbound for 12 hours from 10pm this evening to facilitate the works.
The footbridge, which connects Baird Street in Glasgow city centre to the Sighthill area, will be replaced with a landmark new pedestrian and cycle bridge.
Diversions will be in place, with further limited closures set for tomorrow and on Monday.
Glasgow City Council has confirmed all closures and restrictions will be between Junction 19 eastbound and Junction 15 westbound.

- Saturday, August 1 – Full M8 closure, both lanes- 10pm – 10am
- Sunday, August 2 - Westbound closure and lane 4 of Eastbound 10pm - 6am
- Monday, August 3 – Eastbound closure and lane 4 of Westbound 10pm - 6am
