A crash on the M8 this afternoon has led to significant traffic delays on the motorway.
Traffic Scotland reported the crash on the eastbound section of the road at junction 14 to 13, near Townhead, shortly before 3pm this afternoon.
Emergency services were called out and remain on the scene.
Traffic Scotland confirmed: "Lane 1 of 5 is closed due to an RTC - traffic starting to slow on approach. Emergency services on scene" while later advising 'traffic is sluggish'.
Details of the crash are at this stage unknown, however Glasgow Live have contacted Police Scotland for comment.

UPDATE: A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "Around 2.35pm on Friday, 13 November, officers in Glasgow received a report of a road crash involving two vehicles on the M8 eastbound, between junctions 14 and 15.
"Emergency services are currently in attendance."
