The M8 motorway in North Lanarkshire has been closed amid an ongoing emergency incident.
Traffic Scotland said the motorway's westbound carriage at Junction 6 (Newhouse) is currently shut amid a vehicle blaze.
Due to the fire, road users are being urged to use an alternative route. At the moment, it is unclear if anyone has been injured during the inferno.
Emergency crews are currently on the scene dealing with the incident.
