A motorway crash in Edinburgh has sparked rush-hour delays as police scramble to the scene.
The four-vehicle smash took place on the M8 eastbound carriageway on the approach to the A720 at the city's Hermiston Gait at around 7.35am on Monday.
Lane three of three has been blocked off to other motorists, with rush-hour traffic building in the area as a result.
No injuries have been reported at this stage and the vehicles involved are in the process of being recovered.
A representative from Traffic Scotland wrote: "RTC Lane 3 of 3 blocked E/B on approach to the #A720 at Hermiston Gate due to an RTC.
"Police are en route.
"Traffic is building in the area."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.35am on Monday 12 July 2021, police received a report of an incident involving four vehicles on the M8 eastbound carriageway at Hermiston Gait.
"There are no reports of any injuries and recovery of the vehicles is being arranged."
