Police have confirmed that a 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged road traffic offences following a fatal crash on the M8 motorway this morning.
The incident happened around 5.05am this morning (September 19) when a blue Audi Q7 left the road on the M8 westbound between Junction 29 A737 (St James / Paisley) and Junction 31 A8 Greenock Road (Bishopton).
Emergency services attended the scene and two men both aged 27 and one man aged 31 were pronounced dead at the scene. Their families have been informed.

Five other men were taken to hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The westbound carriageway remains closed at this time while a full collision investigation is carried out.
Police say that enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 0860 of 19/09/21.
