Drivers have found themselves stuck in traffic on the M8 this afternoon after a trailer full of turf overturned on the motorway.

Emergency services were called to the scene on an eastbound stretch of the M8 at Junction 27 at around 1.15pm.

Two of three lanes have been shut down as a result, causing significant tailbacks and traffic queueing past the airport.
