A road crash involving a horsebox is causing significant disruption on the M8 in West Lothian .
Police are currently dealing with the incident, which happened on the eastbound carriageway near Livingston .
Images put out by Traffic Scotland show the vehicle on its side in the central reservation. There was no horse inside the box when the accident happened.
And they say that one lane has been closed off to traffic in the meantime while emergency services get to work.
The incident was reported shortly before 4.30pm and is likely to cause major problems on the route with rush hour looming.
