A road traffic accident has caused major delays on the M8 motorway near Edinburgh, as traffic queues back for miles during rush hour.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the crash on their official Twitter account, warning road users of the impending queue of cars west bound on the motorway.
In a tweet posted moments ago, Traffic Scotland said: "NEW 16:52 #M8 One lane is blocked on the #M8 W/B between J2 - J3 following an earlier RTC.
"Traffic is heavy in the area and building."
Traffic can be seen beginning to build up on the cameras as we await news of the crash.
