M8 crash causes traffic delays

A crash on the M8 has led to traffic delays for Glasgow commuters this afternoon (Thursday).

Traffic Scotland have advised of a road traffic accident on the motorway heading eastbound at Junction 17 to Junction 16, near Garscube Raod, leading to the closure of a lane.

Traffic Scotland Tweeted at 3.25pm to say:"#M8 eastbound J17 to J16, RTC blocking lane 3 of 3. Traffic slow on approach back to J20. #Glasgow @ScotTranserv"

It is not yet known whether anyone has been injured as a result of the crash.
