Traffic has been brought to a standstill on the busy M8 this afternoon after a lorry overturned.
Police raced to the scene on the M8 near junction two earlier today after the incident at around 2:30pm
In an update to motorists at around 3pm, Traffic Scotland avised that the M8 westbound between junction one and two was closed due to a road traffic collision.
They warned traffic is "very slow" and drivers should expect delays.
Live traffic cameras show chaos on the blocked route, with vehicles at a standstill as rush hour approaches.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a lorry overturned on the M8 Westbound near Junction 2.
"Officers are in attendance and there are no reports of injuries. The road is currently closed."
Emergency services and recovery teams currently on the scene.
It comes after an earlier smash involving two vehicles heading eastbound between J2 (M9 Interchange) and J1 A720 Edinburgh City Bypass (Hermiston Gait).
It's understood lane two remains blocked by ambulances due to the earlier accident.
