Rush hour motorists are facing nightmare delays on the M8.
Numerous accidents in both directions, in and out of Glasgow, caused major delays on Tuesday.
At 7am an accident blocked one lane of the M8 eastbound at junction six Newhouse.
Ten minutes later a second accident closed one lane eastbound on the Kingston Bridge, at junction 22.
It is not known if anyone was injured in the collisions.
The Kingston Bride incident had a knock on effect as far back as Glasgow Airport as commuters started heading into Glasgow city centre.
A breakdown caused chaos at around 7.45am, westbound between junction 15 and 16.
While other accidents have been cleared, lane three of three remains closed at junction 22 meaning traffic is still backed up from the Kingston Bridge till the airport.
