A vehicle has caught fire on the M77 during rush hour this morning leading to significant traffic delays on the motorway.
Traffic Scotland reported the incident on the northbound section of the motorway at junction 2, near Silverburn Shopping Centre.
It's understood there's 25 minutes worth of delays with traffic queued back all the way to junction 4.
Traffic Scotland Tweeted at 7.45am this morning: "#M77 northbound J2 Lane 1 of 2 is closed due to an earlier vehicle fire.
"Traffic slow on approach back to J3."
A further update at 8am added: "#M77 northbound J2 Lane 1 of 2 remains closed due to an earlier vehicle fire.
"Traffic queuing back to J4 - delays approx 25 mins."
UPDATE: The lane is now open, but Traffic Scotland estimate delays of 30 minutes.
