M77 northbound closed at junction 1 as police respond to crash

The northbound section of the M77 motorway has been closed at junction 1 as police respond to a crash.

Glasgow City Council's Traffic Control and Management team (TRAFFCOM) confirmed the incident, which is believed to have taken place close to 10am this morning (Monday).

They say: "Due to a Road Traffic Incident, the M77 has been closed Northbound at Junction 1 Dumbreck Road.

"Delays should be expected."

Furthermore, police are directing the traffic to a directed route.

UPDATE 11.03AM: The M77 has fully re-opened following the earlier incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed to Daily Record: "At around 10am on Monday, November 4, we received a report that a person had fallen from a bridge at junction one on the M77.

"Junction one northbound has been closed while emergency service remain on the scene."
