M62 shut and traffic queuing after lorry sheds its load

Traffic on the M62 has come to a standstill due to a lorry shedding its load.

The M62 eastbound at junction five has come to a standstill after a lorry shed its load at around 6pm.

The motorway has been closed at the Roby Road roundabout since 6.45pm, with traffic queueing back to Junction 4 at The Rocket.

A detour is in operation following the incident with cars being able to enter and exit via the entry slip roads.
