The M60 has been partially closed this morning following a crash involving six vehicles.
One person has been injured and an ambulance crew is in attendance, the North West Motorway Police confirmed.
All four lanes of the clockwise carriageway have been temporarily closed between junction 15 at the M61 Swinton Interchange.
There is congestion up to junction 12 at the M62/M602 Eccles interchange.
Emergency crews are at the scene.
Travel time is around 20 minutes.
North West Motorway Police tweeted: "T raffic stopped on M60 clockwise between J15 and J16 - lane 4 blocked at this time."
