Motorists are facing serious delays after a car and lorry crashed on the M6.
Emergency services rushed to the M6 between junction 22, Newton Le Willows, and junction 23, Haydock, at around 6pm on Friday, September 24, following reports of a crash.
Once Cheshire Police arrived at the scene they found a car and HGV had crashed.

It is not known if anybody was injured in the crash.
Highways England and Cheshire Police are in attendance at the incident.
At the moment traffic is able to pass due to the accident only taking up two lanes of traffic, but AA travel sensors show traffic is queueing back to Lymm.
