A section of the M57 motorway was closed for several hours after a car overturned and rolled into a ditch.
The emergency services were called out to J6 of the M57 in at around 7pm pm last night following reports that a car overturned and rolled into a ditch. North West Motorway Police said they were at the scene of an accident which resulted in a car on its roof and urged drivers to avoid the area.
The accident happened on the north bound exit slip road off J6. After the accident police closed the northbound section of the motorway from J4.
Fire and ambulance attended the scene.
The section of motorway was re-opened at around 4.40am this morning.
