A woman was spotted on the 'wrong side of a bridge' over a motorway this morning.
The M56 at junction 4 for Wythenshawe had to be closed in both directions during the incident.
The woman was spotted on a camera 'in the middle of a bridge' over the carriageway at around 5.45am, a spokesperson from Highways England said.
The road was closed by 5.50am.
Police were called to the scene and the road was reopened again by 6.10am, the spokesperson confirmed.
The M.E.N has approached Greater Manchester Police for a comment.
