Motorway cameras show traffic is starting to build on the M5 near Bristol as holidaymakers appear to descend on the South West.
Large parts of the South West, England and Wales have been gripped by a weather warning for thunderstorms since Wednesday (June 16).
While the Met Office appears to have now let large chunks of the South West off the hook, extreme weather is predicted in the south east, and many may want to flee the deluge.

There are delays all the way along the M5 corridor, with the worst jams being recorded southbound near Portishead, Clevedon, Weston-super-Mare, while traffic also appears heavy northbound near Bridgwater and Taunton.
