M4 traffic diversion route after crash closes motorway

A section of the M4 will be shut for 'some time' after a car flew off the motorway this afternoon (December 7).

Officers shut the eastbound carriageway between junction 19 (Bristol/M32) and junction 18 (Bath) at around 2:50pm.

Motorists travelling from Bristol towards London will be diverted from the M32 to the A4174 towards the Wick Roundabout.

They will then be directed towards the A432 Badminton Road through Yate, the A46 from Old Sodbury down to the M4 J18.
