A ‘heartbroken’ family has paid tribute to a ‘caring man’ who died in a crash on the M4 earlier this week.
It comes as police appeal for witnesses to the coliision, which involved a single motorbike.
Tony Hillard, 70, from Saron, Ammanford, in West Wales, died following the collision near Swansea.
His family said: “We are beyond heartbroken with the sudden loss of Tony. He was such a huge part of the family that we just don’t know how we are going to continue without him.
“We can only describe him as a first rate, loving, caring family man and was always the first to offer his help and support.
“He could be a bit of a joker and we smile now at how cringey some of them could be.
“Throughout his whole life he had a love and passion for motorcycles which he passed on to so many family members. He was an experienced rider and we, as family, take some comfort in the fact he died doing something he absolutely loved.
“We have been touched and overwhelmed by the amount of support and kindness we have received from family, friends and the wider community.
“Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the emergency services at scene who tried to help Tony.”
The crash happened between junctions 43 and 44, near Llandarcy, on Monday, September 21.
