M4 crash: 90 minute delays after multi-vehicle crash

A four-vehicle crash on the M4 caused heavy traffic and delays of up to 90 minutes this afternoon between Bristol and Bath.

The incident happened at around 2pm (Monday July 19) between junction 19 M32 (Bristol) and junction 18 A46 (Bath/Tormarton) and has seen delays of up to 90 minutes for traffic.

The crash has seen huge queues of traffic on the M4 while the road is cleared.

Two lanes were closed due to the crash but have since been reopened.

Police have attended the area and normal traffic levels are still some way away.

Officers say there are not believed to be any serious injuries.

Elsewhere a crash near the M49 Prince of Wales bridge caused disruption this afternoon.

Meanwhile there is traffic on the M5 of 40 miles i n the South West today.
