There will be delays in some areas of Wales during the first week in November with major roadworks and planned closures scheduled for some of the country's busiest roads.
There are planned roadworks on the M4 including two nights of closures between Junctions 32 and 33 to allow essential refurbishment of the M4 and Taff Bridges.
There are also major roadworks continuing on the A465 Heads of the Valleys road and drivers are warned to expect delays.

Here are the planned closures and roadworks affecting major roads:
Closures
M4 - Newport - both directions
The entry to the slip road at junction 26 A4051 ( Malpas Road) will be closed in both directions during the night between 9pm and 6am Mondays to Sundays until November 6.
Lane one (of three) is closed.
M4 - Cardiff - both directions
Essential refurbishment of the M4 and Taff Bridges means that the motorway will be closed in both directions overnight 02/11/21 – 04/11/21. Total closure in both directions between junction 32 Coryton and junction 33 Cardiff West for two nights from 9pm to 6am.
M4 - Margam - eastbound
The motorway will be closed eastbound between junction 38 Margam and junction 37 Pyle. From November 1 to November 6 between 8pm and 6am.
M4 - J42 - eastbound On-slip and westbound Off-slip
Work to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing to the 900m section of Westbound Off-slip and Eastbound On-slip of the M4 at Earlswood will take place over eight nights between 8pm to 4:30am from Tuesday, November 2.
High Street, Merthyr Tydfil
A4054 High Street in both directions closed due to major roadworks between Vaynor Road and Pearces Court.
As part of the works on the A465 Heads of the Valley Road.
Roadworks
M4 - both directions - Cardiff
Narrow lanes due to roadworks on M4 in both directions from J32 A470 (Coryton Interchange) to J33 A4232 (Cardiff West And Services). Expect delays until November 2.
A465 - Head of the Valleys road - expect delays
Major works to the Heads Of The Valley section five and six and restrictions on A465 between A470 (Cefn Coed Roundabout, Cefn Coed) and A4059 Hirwaun Road (Hirwaun Roundabout, Hirwaun).
Overnight temporary traffic lights at Nant Hir (between Croesbychan and Baverstock) from 8pm until 6am from Monday, November 1 to Thursday, November 4.
These have been introduced to allow construction work to be safely undertaken in this location.
A470 - Powys - both directions
There are roadworks and convoy system on A470 at A4215 ( Defynnog turnoff) until November 5.
A470 - Powys - both directions
There are temporary traffic lights and long-term roadworks on the A470 Bridge Street near The Unicorn Bar until November 30.
