Roadworks are expected to cause disruption on the main route in and out of Bristol overnight (August 3).
Motorists have been advised to avoid the M32 and make alternative travel arrangements where possible.
Bus routes will also be affected by the closure, which will be in place until early on Tuesday.
Roadworks will be taking place between J1 (Ring Road, Filton) to J3 (St Paul's) from 9pm this evening.
They will remain in place until 5am tomorrow (August 4).
During this period services T1, Y1, Y2, Y4, Y5 and the Metrobus M1 will be diverted.
The full changes are as follows:
Services m1, T1, Y1 and Y4 will divert from junction three (Law Hill) via Warwick Road, Stapleton Road, Fishponds Road and Muller Road where Y4 will resume normal routes at Eastville junction two.
Service T1, Y1 & m1 from Eastville roundabout to take 3rd exit onto Stapleton Road, through Stapleton Village, then to Frenchay Park Road where the m1 will turn left onto Stoke Lane to resume its normal route; The T1 and Y1 will continue along onto Bristol Road and turn left at the traffic lights where the T1 will resume its normal route and the Y1 will turn around underneath the M32 to go back to Hambrook and resume normal route.
Service m1: During this time the Outbound Begbrook stop will not be served.
Instead, buses will serve the Outbound stop in Stoke Lane.
This stop is situated approximately 60 metres beyond the junction with Frenchay Park Road and approximately 45 metres prior to the junction with the dedicated “MetroBus” road.
The distance from the Begbrook stop back to Stoke Lane is approximately 100-110 metres.
Please be advised that buses heading in the Inbound direction towards the City Centre and Hengrove are not affected and will observe their regular stops.
Service Y2 and Y5 to operate as above to Fishponds Road then normal route.
