M22 Antrim delays as PSNI deal with fallen electricity line

Drivers are being warned of delays on a major Co Antrim road this evening as police deal with a fallen electricity line.

Traffic on the M22 north-bound is being diverted at Rathbeg following the incident and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.

Police said it could lead to several hours of delays. It was previously closed between the Antrim area Hospital junction and the Dunsilly junction

A PSNI spokesman added: "M22 North bound traffic is now being taken off at Junction Six, Rathbeg due to a fallen electricity line. Please avoid the area if possible, delays should be expected for several hours."
