M1 crash involving multiple vehicles causing long delays

Three cars have been involved in a collision on the M1 this evening.

The crash occurred leaving Belfast just before the J2 at Stockmans Lane.

The vehicles involved in the collision have now been moved to the hard shoulder but there are still long tailbacks in the area with traffic queued back to the Westlink .

Motorists have been advised to slow down and expect delays.

There are no details of any serious injuries at present.

Meanwhile, police have closed Dunmurry Lane due to a separate three vehicle road traffic collision.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Motorists are advised that, due to a three-vehicle road traffic collision, Dunmurry Lane, Dunmurry, is closed. Diversions are in place. Please see an alternative route if possible."
