M1 collision causing long rush hour delays

A road traffic collision is causing long delays on the M1 this morning.

The crash is reported to be blocking lane two of the M1 at Junction 6 at the Saintfield Road heading towards Belfast.

Trafficwatch NI added: "That's adding to the rush hour delays. Traffic is queued back to J8 at Blaris at the minute."

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are advising motorists of long delays on the M1 motorway city-bound following a collision at junction 6 at Saintfield Road.

"Delays are reported beyond junction 8 at Sprucefield. Please seek an alternative route if possible."
