The M1 has been closed south of Leeds after a crash this morning.
Officials closed the southbound carriageway between junction 36 for Barnsley and 35A for Stocksbridge at around 5.40am.
Traffic on the southbound side has built up beyond junction 37 and is causing delays of around 40 minutes to journeys.
