M&S unveil ‘The Marksologist’ cocktail range and they all sound delicious

Heading to a party sometime soon? Or maybe you just fancy catching up with a few friends over a cocktail and don’t want to go out for one? Well you can always count on Marks and Spencer to give you the goods - and their latest range of alcoholic cocktails sound delicious.

As part of the new ‘The Marksologist’ range, the bouji high street supermarket have launched a collection of six premium, ready-to-drink cocktails, created to the highest mixologist standard and designed to replicate the in-bar drinking experience of a 5-star cocktail bar.

Now you don’t even need to get dressed up for the perfect cocktail serving!

Is it 5pm yet...? (M&S)

Tapping into this trend of ‘cocktail hour’ at home, The Marksologist range, priced at £18 a bottle, has been designed to help consumers become their own mixologist and enjoy perfect serves with ease.

The range comprises cocktail bar menu favourites such as a Golden Negroni: a twist on the Italian bittersweet Italian classic, an Espresso Martini (complete with real foamy head), and the most amazing margarita with a spicy hit; the Verdita Margarita.

There is also the Clover Club, Vanilla Espresso Martini, Passion Star Martini and Cacao & Aged Rum Old Fashioned available too.

Having tried a few of these, we love the Espresso Martini one - and it’s been flying off the shelves since arriving in stores too.

Using premium ingredients, each cocktail has been designed to ensure anyone can serve great tasting drinks every time; no cocktail knowledge or experience required!

The flavours in each bottle are already perfectly balanced and all key components – such as the tricky sweet to sour ratio – have been expertly managed.

Lead Product Developer Jenny Rea commented; “I’m thrilled with our new range; we’ve crafted six extraordinary pre-mixed cocktails through extensive research and blending expertise, ensuring the authentic details for each cocktail have been kept – I’m really proud of our Espresso Martini; we’ve managed to re-create the distinctive foamy head, something not seen in any other pre-mixed Espresso Martini on the market and really helps to re-create the 5-star experience.

“At M&S we’ve always been a destination for our pre-mixed cocktails and spirits, from Mojitos and G&Ts in a tin to our famous Snow Globe Gin Liqueurs, and this is an exciting opportunity to really bring that ‘cocktail bar moment’ home for our customers.”

Now they are available both online for a case of six for £108 from the Marks and Spencer website as well as in store too.

To find your nearest M&S, we’ve popped the store locator here for ease. You’ll also find the latest opening and closing time information listed there as well.

You can also shop a few Marks and Spencer favourites from the Ocado website now too - how good is that?

Prior to the pandemic, only 37% of people who consume cocktails in pubs and bars did so at home, however the first UK lockdown saw that figure rise to over 50% and at M&S, searches online increased significantly over lockdown, peaking during Christmas 2020 with an increase of +50% for cocktails and cocktail recipes.

Will you be rushing to your nearest Marks and Spencer to get your hands on a bottle (or two!) or these? Or is there one that stands out from the range you’d like to try most? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
