Marks and Spencer has established a reputation for offering customers the finest of choices in their ever-evolving food range.
Not only are there seasonal specials, like the heart-shaped Love Sausage that delighted romantics on Valentine’s Day, or the latest incarnation of Colin the Caterpillar - although shoppers are still undecided if the Easter version of the popular cake is cute or creepy - but there are year-round additions to the Percy Pig range.
Last month, food fans could buy Percy Pig Dessert Sauce to drizzle over their Percy Pig-shaped pancakes, but the suggested recipe on the M&S Instagram account garnered mixed reactions online.
And now it looks like they’re set to divide customers again with their latest food collaboration.
M&S has joined forces with Marmite to bring three new products to Food Halls across the UK.

Marmite Creamy Butter costs £3 for a 100g pack and is perfect for slathering on toast or filling a jacket potato.
The product description from Marks and Spencer reads: "If you want to get a bit fancy with your Marmite then NEW Marmite Creamy Butter (£3 100g) is the way to go. Anything you might want to butter – this is your answer.”
Other serving suggestions include searing your steak with it for a perfect salty sweet caramelisation, or toss your roasties in it for a flawless crunchy coating.
The Marmite butter is available in stores now, but it's not the only new controversial product to add to your shopping list.

Marmite Cream Cheese (£2.50 for 140g) and Marmite Cheese Twists (£1 each) have also hit the shelves of the chilled and bakery departments.

Love it or loathe it, we all know we’ll be trying it.
