Marks and Spencer shoppers are besotted with a "gorgeous" knitted dress after spotting it online.
Iconic British retailer M&S was founded in 1884 yet has established itself as a firm feature on the high street thanks to its wide array of consistently stylish clothing, accessories, homeware, beauty supplies, furniture and more.
Like many of its competitors, the popular store uses social media to maintain a connection with shoppers and keep them updated on all the newest stock and product releases.

M&S boasts millions of followers across its various social media pages and recently caused a stir after sharing a photo of its Cotton Rich Textured V-Neck Knitted Dress, which costs £39.50.
The dress, which is available in sizes extra small, small, medium, large and extra large, comes in ivory and black and has been designed in a regular fit with a v-neck and open stitch detailing. It comes in a midi length and can be purchased here.
Knitted dresses are often a popular wardrobe addition during the summer months, with a number of retailers offering similar versions to Marks and Spencer's. Online shopping juggernaut ASOS stocks a range of midi length, sleeveless knitted dresses, while high street favourite H&M offers a wide selection of styles for those who fancy something a little different.
Captioning the image of its dress on Instagram, Marks and Spencer simply penned: "A dress you can wear again and again (and again)." The dress proved popular among social-media-using fashion lovers, racking up hundreds of likes in just a few hours.
Shoppers shared their thoughts in the comments section. Patricia said: "Wow". Silvana asked a friend: "ooh bestie, isn't this dress lovely?"
Daisy said: "I saw this dress and it's really gorgeous". Jasmine commented: "Yes what a lovely dress". Petite shoppers may be disappointed by the length of the dress, though. Heather asked: "does it come in petite?" To which, Marks and Spencer replied: "Hi Heather, unfortunately, this isn't available in 'petite', I'm afraid", adding a sad face emoji.
