M&S shoppers red-faced over one detail in its most 'risqué' Valentine's Day advert ever

When it comes to Valentine's Day, there's no arguing with the fact that M&S has upped the stakes this year.

The store has already had viral success thanks to its giant love sausage, and now it's released what could be described as the most risquè Valentine's Day product ever - the love cucumber.

No, it's not April Fool's Day, M&S really has released a heart shaped cucumber, and people love it.

Posting on Facebook, M&S shared a picture of the new love cucumber, writing: "You’ve heard of the Love Sausage and now it’s time to try our Love Cucumber! Actually heart-shaped, and a world first, it’s been grown exclusively for M&S - just the thing for adding to your Valentine’s G&T.

"The Love Cucumber is a VERY limited edition and is only in 94 of our biggest stores, so get it while you can! Who will you share your Love Cucumber with this Valentine’s Day? Tag your beloved below. Cheers! In-store today!"

Unsurprisingly, it wasn't long before the comments section began to flood, with many shoppers clearly amused by the idea.

"This is risqué' for you M&S," joked one shopper.

Another added: " Oooooeeerrrrrrr M&S. What will my mother say about this."

"Jeez whatever next!!" exclaimed a third.

Somebody else wrote: "Thought I was on the Anne Summer's site."

"I've got my love sausage , best get myself a love cucumber now," said yet another amused customer.

A final social media user gushed: "M&S you have THE BEST sense of humour. I love this idea!"

Ooh-err, M&S. You cheeky sausages.
