M&S shoppers 'moved to tears' after reading man's heartbreaking slipper review

As shoppers search for last-minute Christmas presents, many are turning to product reviews to make sure they're getting the best items.

But one shopper ended up crying when she read one man's heartbreaking review of a pair of M&S slippers.

While she was looking to buy some slippers as a gift, she read customers’ verdicts on a £19.50 Freshfeet pair.

But according to the Daily Star, one stood out to her in particular.

A M&S shopper who lost his leg offered to give away his left slipper for free to anyone who may have also lost one.

He wrote: "Five years ago I lost my right leg so I never wear the right slipper.

“So if you are missing a left and take a size 8 slipper and need a right slipper I am allowing M&S to give you my email address and you can have one for free. Just contact me.”

Voice artist Jayne Sharp was moved when she read the online review.

On Twitter, she admitted: “Just looking at slippers for dad for Christmas and came across this review on @marksandspencer’s website.

“I think I’ve got something in my eye.”

Another wrote: “Not just the spirit of Christmas, that’s the spirit of humanity.

“Somehow the smallest of gestures make the most impact.

“Whoever you are, you have my utmost respect.”

A third commented: “OMG that is fantastic. What a find!”

And a fourth added: “I feel this could be next year’s Christmas advert!”
