M&S shoppers 'feel sick' over £1.60 pancake day item that 'looks like raw meat'

M&S has released an exciting new Percy Pig product for pancake day - but shoppers are divided over the pink flavoured item.

The high street supermarket has added pancakes to its Percy Pig range, which has everything from sweets and sponge rolls to mini tray bake bites.

But customers say the latest treats, which are bright pink and filled with jelly pieces, are a 'step too far' - with some claiming it makes them 'feel sick, MEN reports'.

Horrified shoppers even claim the pink pancakes 'look like raw meat' and are made from 'real pig'.

M&S has released new Percy Pigs pancakes (M&S)

Posting on Facebook, the NewFoodsUK page announced the latest product and wrote: "NEW PERCY PRODUCT ALERT. Percy Pig Pancakes! WOW! These are super delicious!

"Buttermilk pancakes made with Percy Pig dessert sauce, with apple & raspberry jelly pieces - these have a beautiful fruity taste!

"We love the jelly pieces & sauce in these pancakes - perfect heated up! These are genius!"

The new pancakes quickly caught the attention of social media users, and the post has been shared almost 2,000 times, and commented on a staggering 11,000 times.

But while some are keen to try out the new Percy Pig invention, others did not look the look of the pink treats.

Writing under the post, one person said: "Love Percy but definitely give this one a miss."

"I don’t know what I’m looking at, I know I feel sick and can’t look at the picture for long. It’s not pig flavoured pancakes is it," said somebody else.

A third wrote: "It looks like raw meat".

Somebody else called the pancakes "a step too far," while another said they looked "vile".

One even commented: "They look like they're made out of an actual pig."

A pack of 4 Percy Pig pancakes costs £1.60. It is available to buy in stores now.
