M&S restock charity t-shirts and Amanda Holden releases charity single for NHS

Last week Marks and Spencer launched a brand new range of ‘All In This Together’ charity t-shirts to help raise money for NHS Charities Together.

M&S have since then reported that they were the fastest ever selling M&S t-shirt thanks to the overwhelming support from customers - which ultimately saw the tee sell out in a matter of hours. So fast in fact that one was sold every second.

As a result, M&S have now re-stocked the tees and have thousands landing online, today, May 1st - with thousands more to come.

The t-shirts feature a colourful rainbow design or the ‘All In This Together’ slogan. The T-shirts are made from soft and breathable cotton. The short-sleeved tees are available in men’s, women’s and kid’s sizes, so there’s a design for the whole family. Furthermore, all cotton used for M&S clothing, including these t-shirts, are sustainably sourced.

The t-shirts are available in sizes 8 - 22 for women, priced at £9.50. Sizes small - XXXL for men, also priced at £9.50 and sizes 2 to age 12 for children, priced at £8.

But you’ll need to act fast as we can’t imagine these will last long online once again.

Whether you choose to wear yours whilst you #clapforcarers on Thursdays, on your next Zoom call, or during your morning workout - show your support for this fantastic cause.

The whole M&S Family played their part in getting the T-shirts ready for customers, from designers working from home and UK-based printers, through to M&S Womenswear Ambassador Holly Willoughby, who shared a highly popular shot of her and her son Chester wearing their t-shirts on Instagram and the picture has nearly gained 125,000 likes.

Today, another member of the M&S family is showing their support and helping raise money for NHS heroes.

M&S Food ambassador Amanda Holden is pictured wearing one of the t-shirts as she launches her new single in aid of M&S’s chosen charity, NHS Charities Together.

Amanda loved the t-shirt design so much that they inspired the official artwork for her new charity single, Over the Rainbow, with all proceeds going to NHS Charities Together.

Amanda is a great friend to M&S with a shared passion for supporting the NHS, making this the perfect collaboration.

Amanda Holden comments, "Life has taken a really funny turn but one thing that I think has become really clear is that we are all in this together. And more than ever, we’ve reconnected with love and hope during this time. The wonderful team at Marks & Spencer have designed these beautiful rainbow t-shirts with all proceeds going to NHS Charities Together. This campaign and the NHS mean a lot to me."

“I feel like I owe the NHS so much. Last year, I recorded a version of Over The Rainbow. It’s a song I used to sing as a girl with my Nan and Grandad, and one I love to sing with my daughters, Lexi and Hollie. When Marks & Spencer and I were chatting last week, we remembered this song and lyrically it feels more relevant now than ever. My record label, VirginEMI, have kindly agreed to put the song out with all proceeds going to support this wonderful cause for the NHS."

Jill Stanton, Director of Womenswear & Kidswear at M&S said, "Thank you to everyone in the M&S Family who has got involved in our fundraising efforts for our incredible NHS heroes – from M&S Food Ambassador Amanda Holden who is using our T-shirt design for her charity single, to the teams packing and delivering the tops, to the thousands of amazing customers who have bought a T-shirt  or made a donation in one of our Foodhalls. We’re really excited the T-shirts are back online now with more planned for the coming weeks as we continue to show our support for our NHS. We cannot wait to see thousands of customers taking part in #ClapForOurCarers in their ‘All in this Together’ T-shirts."

Ellie Orton, the CEO at NHS Charities Together, comments, "Everyone has their own reasons to be grateful to the NHS and it is brilliant that Amanda has decided to use her profile and talents to raise money in support of the NHS staff, volunteers and patients who are dealing with the crisis right now. I love the message of hope in the song and fingers crossed it will raise lots of money for the appeal."
