M&S Percy Pig toy is being released this week for the first time ever

Marks & Spencer has announced this afternoon that it will be releasing Percy Pig soft toys for the first time this week.

The toys will be available in a choice of two sizes; a giant or medium version.

M&S is reassuring customer they won't need to look far to find the items at its stores as they're promising customers they'll be greeted by the toys as soon as they step inside.

The toys are set to be released tomorrow (Tuesday, September 15) and will cost £15 for the medium size or £25 for the giant size.

Demand is expected to be huge, with shoppers already obsessed with the Percy Pig character. Each year M&S sell more than 400 million individual sweets.
