Marks and Spencer has a new treat in store for fans of its Percy Pig sweets.
The much-loved porcine confectionery has already been transformed into a dessert sauce, but M&S have now upped their game, with a fully Percy-themed pudding.
Percy Pig flavour ice cream is now on sale - and customers were quick to share their excitement.
On Tuesday, M&S made the announcement on Facebook, saying: "Four words: Percy. Pig. Ice. Cream. Yep, you heard right.
"Percy-flavoured ice cream, with a ripple of fruit sauce and chewy strawberry marshmallows (£3 a tub) And yes, it’s suitable for vegetarians, too.
"Find in store when you're next shopping for your essentials."
The new ice cream was advertised as being served with a garnish of Percy Pig sweets and the spin-off sweet, phizzy pig tails.
Fans of the sweets were delighted by the news.
Commenting on Facebook, one woman said: " Amazing. I absolutely love phizzy tails, I’ll be purchasing both when I can safely get to M&S."
Another added: "Can’t wait for some of this - the kids would be ecstatic."
M&S food stores, as well as food halls within larger outlets, remain open to allow people to shop for essential food and supplies, meaning people will be able to pick up a tub of the new dessert as part of a larger food shop.
