Marks and Spencer is famed for its bakery hybrids and have become leaders in the food fusion market, known for bringing popular flavours and classic cakes together to create something special for shoppers.
The popular high street retailer recently introduced the world to the ‘Yumnut’, a yum yum and doughnut combination that quickly shot up the bestsellers list and have already gained international notoriety.
And now, in a move that is bound to rival the controversy surrounding the humble, ‘is it a cake or a biscuit’ Jaffa Cake, M&S is bringing the 'Biscake' to bakery shelves in its stores.
The Biscake is available in three delectable flavours:
- Choc Chip off the old block
Cherry Cake-well
Lemon Meringue-a-tang

The Biscakes blend a crunchy biscuit base and fluffy, light and oh-so decadent cupcake top, making choosing the perfect partner for your cup of afternoon tea even easier.
Natalie Tate, M&S Product Developer for cakes said: ‘It’s the age-old question. Cake or biccy with your cup of tea? This new and exclusive fusion to M&S, the Biscake, takes the stress of having to decide as you can now enjoy both together.
“The three delicious flavours are the ultimate treat – with the perfect balance of crumbly biscuit base and fluffy, sweet cupcake top. I absolutely love the Choc Chip off the Old Block which is topped with our very own delicious treat bag Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites.’
Marks and Spencer Biscakes cost £2.50 for a pack of two and are available in stores now.
