M&S launches Colin the Caterpillar cake jars but 'traumatised' fans have concerns

Marks and Spencer have unveiled a new Colin the Caterpillar cake jar but customers are less than impressed.

The iconic Colin the Caterpillar was first launched by the retailer in 1990 has been a birthday staple ever since.

Colin the Caterpillar is a national tasty treasure with millions of fans and now even his own section of the M&S website, the world of Colin the Caterpillar.

There are countless Colin related products available from the classic cake to Colin faces to his female counterpart, Connie the Caterpillar.

But the latest product, Colin the Caterpillar cake jars have sparked out rage on social media and fans have been left upset and concerned by the latest novelty treat.

The luxury food retailer unveiled the latest addition to the Colin collection on their official Instagram and Facebook channels.

Captioned: "JUST LANDED: Colin the Caterpillar cake jars!"

And Colin fan's have not held back in expressing their concerns.

One tweeted: "Poor Colin M&S have smushed him up and squished him into a jar ffs."

A second said: "It looks delicious but I’m also traumatised on behalf of Colin"

A third added: "Jeez! Looks like something from a horror film."

A fourth posted: "The poor lad. Jesus Christ", with another tweeting: "Dear god what have you done to poor Colin?! Deconstructed him!"
