M&S is cutting prices on every item at its cafes

High street retailer Marks and Spencer is joining businesses across the hospitality industry in dropping prices at its cafes.

Earlier this month chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that VAT would be reduced from 20% to 5% to get Brits spending again.

M&S is embracing the VAT cut and reducing the price of every item available at its M&S cafes.

Customers dining-in at M&S cafes can now get their hands on cheaper meals and drinks, including a Flat White for £2.36 down from £2.70 and a Freshly Baked Jacket Potato with Baked Beans for £4.33 down from £4.95.

Among the cafes now open and operating the reduced prices are Liverpool’s Church Street site.

There are now more than 200 M&S cafes open across the UK, you can find your local here .

M&S is following in the footsteps of businesses such as McDonald’s and Wetherspoons, which have both slashed prices this month.
