M&S Food Hall shoppers told to expect 'completely different' bakery on next trip

Marks and Spencer is promising its bakery customers will noticed a change when they shop there.

The high-end food retailer is overhauling its in-store bakeries after a year of planning.

M&S promises a the change will be seen in all of its in store bakeries, with the section of their Food Halls looking like "you've never seen it before", the Echo reports.

A number of new additions will make its bakeries feel "completely different", a statement said.

M&S has added eight new products which have taken a whole year to develop.

The new items include Banana Bread and Almond Muffin, New Mushroom and Cheese Swirl, New Handcrafted Baguettes, New Handcrafted Poppy Seed Burst Roll and more.

There will also be a new six-pack of its Yumnuts too which include flavours such as milk and cookies.

M&S bakeries first opened in 1996 and quickly became a staple on any M&S Food Shop whether shoppers were grabbing a quick snack or a treat for friends.

The new release of the new products follow M&S' iconic Colin the Caterpillar's 30th birthday with saw the retailer release a supersize version of the cake as well as a number of other items too.

The retailer recently took to its Facebook page to announce the launch of its new food item, its 'super-sized' colossal 2kg version of the cake for £40.

The huge cake should feed 40 people and is available to order here.

The website describe the cake as, 'Colin has just got even bigger! A giant chocolate sponge roll filled with chocolate butter cream, covered in milk chocolate with a decorated white chocolate face and sugar coated milk chocolate beans finished with a personalised leaf decoration.' He can even be iced with a message of your choice.

However, not everyone was excited about the new product with many feeling it was overpriced.
