M&S championed for new plus size bra but fans get distracted by model's knickers

A new bra being sold by Marks and Spencer has caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans.

Posting on Instagram, the retail brand shared a snap of a sunny bra available in bigger cup sizes.

Taking to Instagram, M&S said: "Bigger bras shouldn't compromise on style!

"Perfectly demonstrated by @sophieedwards_tcmp loving her perfect fit."

Fans were quick to praise the new set, with many complimenting the summer-ready colours and how well digital creator Sophie Edwards looked in the posts.

"Love this set! You look amazing Sophie," posted one person.

Another expressed their excitement by simply saying: "YESSSSS"

While people were quick to share their love for the new garment with love-heart emojis and hallelujah ‘praise be’ hands, there was something else that caught people’s attention.

Fans couldn’t help but raise eyebrows and ask about the model’s choice of underwear, reports MyLondon.

"Those knickers look very uncomfortable!" one person said.

Another asked: “It’s not painful to pull those panties so high?”

"Lovely model, but I don't think the knickers are the right fit," expressed another fan.

While the debate about the model's knickers raged on, a new batch of commenters found the opportunity to raise a few other points about Marks and Spencer’s underwear and lingerie range.

The pretty valid points came in the form of garments suitable for those with smaller backs and bigger cup sizes.

"Still M&S don’t recognise that women have smaller backs and bigger cup sizes,” one person said.

“You're missing a huge market of size 6/8 women!"

Another added: "Would be great if the Rosie collection could also be size-inclusive, such pretty patterns but never available in larger sizes such as a G."

One user said: " I love M&S bras, but it's becoming increasingly frustrating as a 30g to see how many lovely bras don't go past an E cup, or start at a 32 back."

Who knew all this debate could have stemmed from one Instagram post.

The Graphic Floral Lace Underwired Full Cup Bra is available at M&S in sizes 30-42 in A-H.

It currently retails for £22.50.
