M&S and Superdrug bargain hunter slated as "selfish" after revealing massive Boxing day savings

Bargain hunters out in the Boxing Day sales would be hard pressed to compete with one shopper but after she revealed exactly what she had bagged some people reacted with fury.

As she proudly showed off the contents of her shopping bag via a Facebook post, the reaction was not totally complimentary.

Megan Ayr, a member of the B&M Bargains, Money Saving Deals & Discount Codes group shared a picture of her Boxing Day bargains, reported Manchester Evening News.

She had scoured the shelves of Superdrug and M&S and declared around £500 worth of savings against original prices.

"Merry Christmas!" she said.

Megan's list of bargains and her price breakdown read:

Superdrug

Cocoa brown 40p was £7.99

Carmex £2 was £10

Disney body sprays £2 was £12

Chocolate coins 25p was £1

M&S

Turkey £11.55 was £55

Chocolate cake 87p was £3

Total should have been £578.80

£200 lip kits

£50 Carmex

£159.80 tan

£17 chocolate coins / sweets

Total was £73.40

£20 lip kits

£23.40 M&S

£4 chocolate coins / sweets

Megan estimated she saved around 87.5% based on the RRP.

Many reading the post praised the savvy shoppers bargain hunting skills but not all the commentators saw her haul as a win.

Others branded her 'selfish'.

One person replied: "But what you need it all for? If everyone got 1 or 2, then the ones that missed out would have also been able to get some! Great bargains! well some! Just feel it's a bit selfish!"

Another wrote: "Silly woman why buy all that leave some for others pure greed."

And others questioned: "Did you buy it as cheap or buy as you need it? Some seem to buy everything cheap on the shelves leaving none for others on a budget."

Another shopper said: "That’s why most people can never find anything."
