M.E.N breakfast event to explore how flexible workspaces can help start-ups grow

The Manchester Evening News and Regus will host their second in a series of joint breakfast events.

The next event, which will take place on October 29, will explore how flexible workspaces can be used by start-ups to help grow their business.

Flexible workspaces have risen in prominence in recent years - with the establishment and growth of the likes of WeWork, Spaces and Bruntwood.

When entrepreneurs look to establish and scale their businesses, the last thing they need are worries about the cost, maintenance, design and layout of their office.

However, the ‘start-up success: using flexible workspace to grow your business’ event will explore business growth-benefits of flexible working that stretch beyond just being cost-savvy and scratching a few things off the worry list.

These workspaces can give start-ups the flexibility to scale up or down more easily, and enable SMEs to gain access to IT and communication capabilities without incurring the set-up costs.

With collaboration between businesses also becoming more prominent, start-ups can benefit from community in shared workspaces, which can be critical to unlocking the next phase of growth.

This event will explore the many benefits to start-ups of the flexible workspace model, with real businesses telling their own stories and sharing their experiences.

The breakfast events will be chaired by well-known regional journalist Chris Maguire.

Panelists include:

  • Santino Colaluca - Sales director, IWG
  • Martin Keelagher - CEO, Agile Automations
  • Michal Wisniewski - Managing director, Flock
  • Liz Whiteley - Business development director, Methods
  • Graham Bowcock - Managing director, Oakwood Valuation Surveyors
  • Patrick Kennedy - Flexible workspace expert
  • John Readman - Founder, Modo25
  • Sarah Novotny - Agency growth advisor, GM Business Growth Hub
  • Shailen Mistry - Data and analytics consultant, Slalom

The event comes after the M.E.N and Regus’s first event on October 3, which looked into how technology is changing the way we work.
